Nature is our playground. God’s designated area for us to explore, experience, regroup and reflect.
After the rainy winter and now suffering from social distancing, nature is beckoning us to come outside and play surrounding us with signs of hope and buds of renewal.
Nature is therapy, she’s inviting, non-judgmental and kind.
In our ever-changing unpredictable world, nature gives us a sense of consistency and calm in our chaos.
She is the moving portrait painted by God with artistic brilliancy and colorful vibrancy.
This week we leave our isolated hibernation and go outside and simply breathe while quietly listening to her song.
She is the declaration of God’s glory and hidden within her is knowledge.
Let’s find a comfortable place on the porch or patio to simply enjoy the serenity nature provides while remembering that although we are socially distanced we are all still connected by nature, being warmed by the same sun, awed by the same full moon and all created by the same God.
David so poetically describes nature saying “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech, night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words, no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the end of the world.” Ps 19:1-4
So this week we head outside to sit, play or plant and enjoy the beauty that always been just outside the door.
