Revive Us Again

Remember that old hymn?  Hallelujah! Thine the Glory, Hallelujah, Amen! Hallelujah! Thine the Glory. Revive us again.

Five minutes scrolling social media or watching the news confirms our nation needs revival.

Everyone has questions while few have answers.

Church revivals are needed but there’s another kind of revival needed even more.

And you aren’t going to find it on a political platform or even in a pulpit. It’s a soul-changing, stirring revival within us.

To experience revival in our nation, churches and homes, it must begin with us in prayer, pressing into God like never before.

Revival shakes us from our stupor and renews our tired, overwhelmed, numb hearts and minds.

Revival is personal and it’s highly contagious because when we ask God to revive a hunger and a burning desire for Him within us, rest assured revival is going to show up and change us radically!

And, do you know what happens next?

That awakening fire He rekindles within us then starts to spill over into our marriages, relationships and friendships.

It ignites renewed hope, optimism and enthusiasm that permeates our jobs, careers and callings.

It accompanies our every movement from the checkout line to the church pew.

This is true revival. Infectious, life-changing and impactful.

Revival brings optimism, hope and is the cure for discouragement, depression and exhaustion, spiritually and physically.  Revival renews our zeal, faith and intimacy with God.

Our nation needs revival as do our churches, marriages and families. And we will experience revival there when we experience revival here within us!

Hallelujah! Thine the Glory, Hallelujah, Amen!  Hallelujah! Thine the Glory.  Revive us again.
