This week we celebrate the “giving of Thanks.”
In a year no one could have predicted, still there was much to be thankful for in the midst of it all.
As we sit down to bless our turkey and dressing, we are thankful for nourishment, both spiritual and physical.
Stuffed and satisfied as we move from the table to the sofa to catch a football game or Hallmark movie, we are thankful that with a simple flip of the switch we have electricity literally at our fingertips.
You see, this year while forced to isolate, I discovered so much to be grateful for literally under my feet and all around me.
My home was overflowing with God’s goodness, from fresh water to hydrate me, warm water to clean my body, food in my pantry, friendly neighbors I finally met, a spouse I never fully appreciated, a loving family able to stay in touch because we had access to technology that kept us together even while separated.
This week we are grateful for God’s peace in a pandemic that kept us sane while the world around us seemed to spin out of control.
For quiet moments that brought us back to the heart of worship, the real meaning of life and finally noticing the “little things” we had overlooked in our hustling, slaying, grinding, striving world.
I am so grateful for the Chic Creative community, Thank you for reading, sharing and responding with heartfelt replies to each post. You inspire and motivate me daily!!
No doubt, everyone’s gratitude list will be different but the One in whom we are so thankful for is the same.
This week we give thanks to “God, who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think.” Eph 3:20.
“Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever!” Ps 106:1
